This is a website call about me (Adrian 'thr1cekill' Marshall)
that I made as a kind of shitposting/dump for me to put...stuff?
There's different parts to check out, including a "blog" (idk how
much I'm gonna use it) so have a look around! I consider this a
"for fun" and "real" social media platform which just allows a
bit more of an unfiltered output for myself and my various hobbies/interests.
So you know, less "corporate" and "clean" as say my Instagram
or Twitter I'm not calling it X is.

Like I said above, it's a place where I can share stuff I think is worth sharing without it being on my social media. It's not nessecarily things I want to "hide" from my peers, just a more intimate outlet than the polished look that people are expected to have on social media nowadays. I don't think I intend to particularly advertise this site. It's just going to hang around until people find it and read it. You, I am assuming, are one of those people.
I was born in 2003. I had parents that restricted social media access until I was old enough and stupid enough to look after myself on the internet. Because of this, I never saw the "raw html/css" times of the internet or had a mySpace page. This seems like a fun way to develop web developement skills that are probably a little bit outdated but oh well, I'm having fun. Anyway, AI generative tools exist now so why does a digital artist reach for their graphics tablet? It's a form of creativity and self expression. I'm not using React. I'm not using SquareSpace. its just me, a text editor and w3schools to help me along the way.
I am a dark mode user. I'm also one of those damned homosexuals (well, bisexual)
so, naturally I have an affinity for the colour pink. Dark background, pink accents. Blue works
with pink. You can start to see how I picked the colours. I always feel like with stuff like this
(ancient technologies by my zoomer standards) it's cool to have restrictions in place.
Therefore, I limited my colour pallet to
the HTML Color Colour Names. As you can see, links look like this.
The website is hosted by one of those cloud providers *boooooo* yes, yes I know but
every techy person knows at least one techy person that always says "Don't host
your own website it's not worth the hassle". So rather than be the next idiot,
I actually heeded their warnings. The font is Google Font's
Kanit unless obviously the fallback is needed. In which case its Arial because
I am a sans-serif enjoyer and serifs just seem a bit outdated. I know I want this to be
"retro" but it doesn't mean I cant enjoy a little bit of modern ammenties like good fonts.
Actually fuck it, the fallback font is going to be Times New Roman. That way if it does break, I'll
actually make sure to update it to a new one. As it's raw HTML and CSS, I hope this is accessible with
a screen reader? I imagine it is? I know it probably doesn't conform with the webdev world's ideas of
'contrast' and 'colour legibility' but I don't agree with webdevs about a lot of things
If there are ever ads on this website, I want you to take me out back and shoot me.
You shouldn't. This is for my enjoyment. It's like a diary or a sketchbook or a portfolio but my take on it. I've never been a fan of cutting and sticking and doing something on the web feels right you know? Also if I'm going to pay for the domain name thr1cekill.com as a reservation in case I get super rich and famous through my gamertag, I might as well use it for something.
Yes. Quite.
